"Animal Farm" is a really good book. It's the story of he russian revolution whith the methaphor thar russia is the farm and each animal makes the paper of someone important or a group af people of the russian revolution. I think it is a very interesting book for people older than 12 years old, because for younger kids it may be difficult to understand.
Summary:
Mr Jones of Manor Farm is so lazy and drunken that one day he forgets to feed his livestok. The ensuing rebellion under the leadership of the pigs Napoleon and Snowball leads to the animals taking over the farm. Vowing to eliminate the terrible inequities of the farmyard, the renamed Animal Farm is organized to benefit all who walk on four legs. But as time passes, the idelas of the rebellion are corrupted, then forgotten. And something new and unexpected emerges...
About the writer: GEORGE ORWELL (25 June 1903 – 21 January 1950) was an English dia during the British Empire's rule of India. He is best known for two novels that he wrote in the late 1940s, Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four. In those works, he said that totalitarianism, especially Stalinism, was very bad.
Orwell fought in the Spanish Civil War with the antifascist troops. These troops were against the dictatorship of fascist governments.
Orwell died of tuberculosis in London.
